My sis wrote this about me:

He daddy was jolly
And named his girl "Lollie"
He knew she was sweet
And cute as a dolly
A joy too, by golly
To everyone she chanced to meet

So I wrote this about her:

My sweet sister "Lizzie"
Makes us all dizzy
She lives a life free of guilts
She's not in a tizzy
But simply keeps busy
Wrapping the planet in quilts

Then I started an addicting roll. It isn't easy to come from a family as big as mine. You don't want to leave anyone out!!!

My awesome sis "Kath"
Is gifted in math
But lives a life to serve
She calms mental wrath
A difficult path
There's few who have the nerve

My sister is dandy
A teacher named "Sandy"
To second graders she is a gift
Please don't send her candy
But sprouts come in handy
For giving her health a lift

Nothing's too scary
For marvelous Mary
The consummate mother hen
Her challenges hairy
But she's a good fairy
To all of her students and men

My brave brother Rob
Loves corn on the cob
And wraps 'round his neck something floral
He's skilled at his job
Teaching a mob
And lives for art, science and Laurel

Matt and Kayleen
Can often be seen
Leading, writing and teaching
From hoeing the beans
To quilting with jeans
Their service is always far-reaching

Leon Benjamin
Married a "10"
Who stood by him - whatsoever
Lori and Ben
Together again
Because they were sealed forever

My bro/uncle Simon
His last name's not "Lyman"
He seems like a brother to me
To sing he's not shy, man
He's also a fly-man
and Bronson as Bronson can be

Our own Samuel Ren
Where have you been?
In heaven with Mama and Dad?
We'll see you again
But until then
We'll trust and try not to be sad

What's In A Name?

I was bored in Relief Society again. I had written this poem (which I found on the internet) in my journal:

His parents did well
Naming him Shel
He never did conform
What would compel
A man to rebel
If everyone called him "Norm"?

so I wrote this:

Her parents did folly
Naming her Lollie
She never was very sweet
But boy was she jolly
And plump too, by golly
She was named after something to eat
